Green Protecta is dedicated to the development of crop protection solutions that enable farmers to achieve the highest productivity while ensuring the best safety conditions for human health and the environment.

Who are we and how do we work?

Green  Protecta 's sole ambition is to develop new biological solutions to protect crops. Thus, the focus will be on this objective while the use of infrastructure and auxiliary services will be as modest as possible.

Its projects must involve a variety of skills and capabilities, from entomology to agronomic trials and marketing development. A company like Green Protecta cannot house all these skills. Therefore, in support of a core management team, tasks are carried out in collaboration with expert partners.

The initiator, owner and leader of the project is Mounir Hassani, PhD in entomology, a "serial entrepreneur" with extensive experience in agronomic applications of biotechnology as well as in business development.

The following partners are associated with this project:

  • Agroscope Centre de Recherche Conthey , Valais, Switzerland.
  • A team led by Professor Ismail Karca at the Faculty of Agriculture, Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Turkey.
  • Independent consultants, specialists from the crop protection industry, serving as scientific and commercial advisors.

Green Protecta is a participant to the Cluster Food & Nutrition .

The company is located on the site of AgriCo , Swiss Campus for Agri and Food Innovation, in Saint-Aubin, Fribourg, Switzerland.

Partnership building

To introduce its products to markets, partnerships with biopesticide manufacturers and international marketing and distribution companies will be established.

Financial partners are also sought to support product development activities, such as laboratory and field trials, environmental studies, product registration and submissions for marketing authorisation in the countries concerned, as well as to start production.
